I think we will need at least 19 - enough justices so cases can be randomly assigned to smaller groups to rule on. We need to make it less attractive for cretins like Harlan Crow to corrupt SC justices. We also need term limits for SCOTUS members and ethics standards with teeth.

This idiotic tweet reminds me of when a friend and I visited Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta. Founded in 1850, it reveals a fascinating history. We noticed how many gravestones were for infants. And for many young sibling dying in the same week. We realized that it was before vaccines and antibiotics.
