Surviving and even having fun on Too Hot Day Two! Actually went out into the lake and probably will do another round soon bc that heat is building up still.
Photo. Bright blue sky background, tall evergreen trees partially blocking a view of a blue lake with mountain ridges in the distance (slightly hazy from nearby wildfire). You can see other families canopies set up at picnic tables scattered around to try and keep cool.

Also despite our location (end of a long driveway/parking lot/back of a condo complex) and the weather (stormy), we actually did get some trick or treaters this year! So happy!
Fake floral display I put together with a black skeleton torso. It has black flowers and foilage, venus fly traps and rainbow metallic roses Teacups on a rack hung on the wall in the background. On top of a display shelf is a man eating plant decoration, a skeleton unicorn figure, a skull with playing card designs, and a carnivorous plant with playing card petals. There is an art print block of a skeleton flamingo in a playing card design teacup that warns "BEWARE OD THE FLAMINGOS". The display is lit by a flamless LED tealight candle.

Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! Our party is tomorrow actually lol (Sat just worked for most people) but for now, here are some of our decor and jack o lanterns!
Two carved pumpkins in the evening, lit up. The stouter one on the left is carved as Derpy from Kpop Demon Hunters, the taller one on the right is a coiled Xenomorph in honor of Alien Earth this year Roommate's carved pumpkin with red lights inside of one of the scarecrow faces from Silent Hill f and spider lilies on each side. A mantle place with Halloween lights stewn over the arch above and a collection of glass pumpkins, some are light up. In the background are Halloween/horror adjacent art prints. In front are various candle holders and anime nendo figures in Halloween style costumes. Several big Halloween pokemon figurines on turn tables, a framed halloween Pokemon print on the wall and a scarecrow Mimikyu plush.

Also this morning got to do a candle pouring class (gifted by roomie for bday) and it was so fun! Get to pick up our candles tomorrow with their custom scents. I did a tea and dragon berry mix that I called Draconic Beautea 🍵🐉
Photo of wifey, myself, and roomie in the background at a long silver table with candle pouring supplies laid out and in the foreground is the owner and teacher giving a big wide mouth faux yell (she took a selfie with us) My candle supplies and candle as it's just beginning curing in a silver art deco vessel

Annual pumpkin patch visit today! I, with zero sense of direction but who likes to lead in mazes (yes, I know), did in fact get us through the corn maze w/only an early flub up! (tbf there was a map lol) Also we saw a pheasant that wandered in (photo if birdie courtesy of roommate)
Photo of two women standing in front of a metal wheel frame serving as an arch surrounded by corn stalks and pumpkins with a gray sky behind. They are smiling and giving a peace sign each A wall of sunflowers and greenery with distant trees in the background and a cloudy sky with blue sky and sun breaking through. Our pumpkin haul inside a green wheel barrel. 2 big ones, 2 med, 3 little ones. All of varying colors of orange, green, white. Inside the corn maze, there is a junction in the path ahead where a pheasant walks by

As long as they’re enabling Trump’s authoritarian power grab, I’m going to #BoycottDisneyABC and cancel Disney+ & Hulu.

And trust me, I use those services, quite a bit actually but this is unacceptable and we have to hit them where it hurts: the bottom line.

Saw Jurassic World Rebirth 🦕💚🦖 Was a great time! Not the best in the franchise but def not the worst. Have reservations about some of the world building for this entry, but it was good on dinos & action!
Photo of the Jurassic World Rebirth popcorn bucket full of popcorn in a dim theater. It is red translucent plastic with black silhouettes on each side. This one shows the JP logo of a trex skeleton profile. Photo in a dimly lit theater of a giant reusable soda cup with a plastic mosasaurus topper.

As mentioned in my quote post before, but the wifey and I have been together for 25 years now!

She got me gay anime girls (I love Kumiko so much and I wish she was in a better series from S2 on lmao) and a carved lapis lazuli raptor skeleton, which is so freaking cool.

Happy Pride y'all 🌈😂
Photo of the Season 1 bluray for Sound Euphonium, it shows a group of high school girls holding orchestra instruments. On top is a rock carving made of lapis lazuli (dark blue on the carving relief parts and lighter blue gray on the base) of a raptor skeleton.

In no particular order:
*Twelve Kingdoms (traditional style GOAT)
*Kyou Kara Maou (boy harem isekai sent via toilet bowl)

*Twisted Wonderland (Disney twink magic school game soon to be an anime)
Cover image from one of the Twelve Kingdoms novels. On the far right is the first protagonist Youko depicted in her school uniform and half her hair in a real world reddish brown color and the other half an unnaturally bright crimson red. Other characters (leaders and their kirin) in the background to the left. Visual art for Kyou Kara Maou. Center focus is protag Yuuri is in a traditional gakuran school uniform and an ornate crown and big royal red cape. He is surrounded by various men in the series, some from the magic world and some from his own. There are also bee bears fluttering around. (Yes, bee bears) Key visual art for Executioner and Her Way of Life. Two women turned in toward one another in a big abandoned cathedral that is overgrown, light streaming in around/behind them. Woman on the left is blonde with a ponytail and holding a book and a knife with a serious expression. The other is a dark haired girl in a white and orange dress and a secretive smile. Twisted Wonderland The Animation key visual. A dark mirror frame and in the image are the dorm leaders in semi profiles all lined up.
