Who knew it was that easy to change your Bluesky handle? Finally, no more confusion with the old band name 😁

Very excited to share this. Over the past year @fauxchisels.bsky.social and I have been shaping sounds for a 2027 @subexotic.bsky.social album. To wet whistles, we’ve made a special 7" with two exclusive tracks, out next Friday at warmfield.bandcamp.com

Be seeing you!

31/31. Warmfield, ‘Calder: River of Industry’ (2026)
@fauxchisels.bsky.social

Finishing with a new release, an album tracing a river’s journey from the Lancs moors through West Yorks to Castleford. Just 2 tapes/2 CDs left as I type and you can now get the booklet separately. Link in ALT
Pack shot: ‘Calder, River of Industry’. An album by WARMFIELD. Inspired by the book ‘Yorkshire’s River Of Industry: The Story of the River Calder’ (1972) by John Ogden. Clockwise from top left: postcard (pastiche of the ‘Wish You Were Here’ style, with the letters of HERE revealing a photo of an industrial section of the river including a cooling tower); Warmfield business card with handwritten thank you message; cassette case inside printed O-card depicting another part of the aforementioned photo; reverse of inlay/j-card showing a diagrammatical map of the river on a blue/grey background; front cover of 28 page A6 booklet and there’s that photo again, but in full; cassette with on-body printing. As well as the Calder album I've been busy working on a number of other things... Keep an eye out for a very special project that I've done with the lovely Drew aka @scholars_of_the_peak that will be out on @subexoticrecords at some point (that one's done, dusted and delivered!)

When I stumbled across this photo of a goods train crossing the river with Wakefield 'B' looming in the background (and Heath Common beyond it) reposted on a Facebook page I knew I wanted to use it for the Calder cover art. I mean, if any image screams "river of industry" it's this one.
