There's a lovely, widely accepted story about how humanity escaped poverty: capitalism.

One variable, one chart, one conclusion. Incomes were flat for ten thousand years, then capitalism arrived and the line went up. “The hockey stick.”

It's wrong, spin, myth. A lie.

Let me tell you why.

How can a pension be both ‘worthless’ and ‘unsustainable’.

How do our peer countries sustain their much higher and earlier pensions?

BTW, pensions are not paid out of taxes. Pls stop repeating this. Taxes do not fund services.

Pls stop repeating the ‘household budget’ myth re Scotland.

The only constraint on a sovereign currency issuer isn't "does spending exceed revenue," it's whether real resources, labour, materials, productive capacity exist to absorb that spending without generating inflation

Farage wasted £239,529 on a by-election stunt to avoid scrutiny.

That’s 6474 summer suuport kits to help Big Issue vendors survive the heat waves www.bigissue.com/summer/

Or 5506 food parcels from a Food Bank for a single person.

Initially, Farage spoke of there being a "plot to embarrass him" at the count. He should have added that he was the author of that plot.
Yes he won and won well, even if Binface's result is amazing. But Farage's decision to stay away because he apparently didn't want to be seen lining up alongside of a bunch of fellow candidates he's reported as dismissing as 'nobodies' doesn't sit too well with his claim to be a man of the people.

In the recent Clacton by-election, Farage won the support of 28% of the electorate.

In the 2024 General Election that figure was 27%.

They do it because London exactly *isn’t* a hell hole.

It is an example of the success of multi culturalism. It scorns their warnings. HALF of Londoners are now not born in the UK yet somehow we all run along nicely.

How incoherent and misandrist is @shelaghfogarty.bsky.social

She glibly suggests that somone making an inappropriate comment about her breasts should be ‘decked’ by another man. Punched to the floor for a comment. People have died from such blows.

Then she laughs and says she’s joking

She isn’t.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social gluten free bread is smaller because it lacks… gluten.

Gluten is the elastic scaffolding that holds the starch.

Without the structure, a larger loaf would collapse under its own weight.

You’re missing two vital parts

What did he earn?
Over what time was the embezzlement?

If he was on £150,000 easy to hide £400,000. Less so if he was on minimum wage.

The Leave vote was highest in areas with lest immigration and lowest in areas with high immigration (save for Boston).

It’s not a rational argument. It isn’t affected by figures. It is fear and hate.

NIMBYism. The English disease.

It’s the main cause of cost overruns. Not just railways but every other infrastructure project.

Check out the planning costs compared to (say) France. Results in prices 7x times higher per mile for comparable projects.

Entitlement.

It wasn’t enough.

You can’t declare a big reset (and in doing so endorse the need) and not deliver it.

Starmer needed to drop a boulder and instead he scattered some gravel.

For 14 years the UK voted to keep the Tory party in power.

The Tories suppressed wages, cut investment, boosted corporate profits, took us out of the EU, pushed up prices, tripled immigration and doubled NHS waiting lists.

Who does the electorate blame?

Labour.

Fuck ‘em.
Whining idiots.

Congrats on “opening” a strait that was open six weeks ago, and all it cost was at least 13 dead service members, thousands of dead Iranian civilians, tens of billions in taxpayer dollars, our loss in global standing, and the Iranian regime’s increase in power. Phenomenal work.

Senior Tory MP claims knife crime went up by 72% in London.

In fact offences fell by 11% in the year to September 2025.
Conservative MP Esther McVey claimed last week that knife crime in London “is up 72% in a year”.

That figure’s not correct, according to police statistics on knife-enabled crime, and we’ve not found any data to support it.

Do you think the electorate care about Mandelson revelations? I don’t, beyond the media’s extraordinary need to hurt Starmer I don’t see the story. Who was hurt? What was lost? What laws were broken? No one cared about the appointment when it happened remember.
