Answering a keyword comment has four levels: send the link, trade it for a follow, ask for the email inside the DM, then spot who keeps coming back. The fourth can start by hand: Instagram's own insights already count the follows each Reel brought you.

Instagram's Reel insights show comments and Follows, but list no email metric. So when you audit a viral Reel after its views fade, the third number, emails, has to come from outside Instagram.

A limit worth knowing if you build or buy Instagram tools: Meta's official API doesn't give any app a Reel's follows, mine included. So the per-Reel score that matters gets counted by hand: Follows from View insights, plus the emails each keyword brought in.

Note from this video: a keyword DM that only hands over the link lets the commenter leave without a follow. The change is the order. Ask for the follow first, give the link second. Then check Follows in your next Reel's insights.

Working idea behind this video: your Reel is rented reach, and the comment is the only part you can own.

The Keep Loop puts it to work: answer every keyword comment with a DM and make sure it arrives, ask for the follow before the link, capture the email, see who returns.
