Instead of taxing the ultra rich, do a massive social media campaign to ask them to give 2 or 3 percent of their wealth to a fund for healthcare, or cancer research, or something else that just helps normal people. It's a fraction to them, but a big difference to their fellow humans

UK needs to go all out on energy independence. Quickest fix is wind and solar but nuclear longer term. Government needs to create the money to upgrade energy infrastructure because the return will be huge. Cheap energy is such a great advantage.

Yeah in a federation all partners need to be treated equally. You can't favor one over the other just because they agree or don't agree with your politics. The rules must apply to all equally

Most of the rest of the civilised word sorted this years ago. 1948 for the NHS in the UK. Have an accident, call an ambulance. No insurance companies scamming you through excess charges or trying to deny your claim. Just thr care you need. It isn't perfect but it's way better than the US system

...actually, same for health care, they're seriously involved with private health care insurance so their policy is "free at the point of USE", not at the "point of NEED". So if you have a moderate income, you'll NEED the insurance that their donors provide
