When utility profits flow straight to shareholders while consumers pay more for worse service, the system has failed.

Badenoch defending this record shows just how out of touch the Tories are. It is time to bring core utilities back under public control.

Adopting positions that formally oppose Jewish self-determination and the existence of Israel should be beyond the pale. Parties on the progressive left will need to seriously ask whether working with the Greens remains viable.

Absolutely vile
Truly vile.

At a public event, Mike Graham mocked Andy Burnham’s father for having Alzheimer’s, less than three weeks after Roy Burnham died and apparently on the day of his funeral.

Just the lowest of the low.

Andy Burnham should give Wales parity with Scotland on devolution. A key driver behind Welsh Labour's defeat in May was the widespread perception that the Party had stopped advocating strongly for Welsh interests. Recovery depends on addressing that perception.

I think it is very good that the PM is being so publicly vulnerable about grieving his father. That is also a form of leadership

That was an excellent speech by Burnham. I think it was one of the best leader speeches I've heard in a while and certainly one of the most socialist speeches by a Labour Prime Minister. Very excited to see what this Labour Government will achieve over the next few years.

This is a brilliant speech by Burnham so far.

Am I the only one sceptical of all these "AI hacking" claims? Call me cynical, but these claims actually help AI companies: they drive market hype, inflate valuations, position tech firms as the sole security experts, and encourage regulation that suppresses upstart competitors.

Brexit has been an absolute disaster for the UK, it has left us weaker, poorer and more vulnerable. This is just the latest example of that.

I choose "EU socialism" please. Good public services, regulations and protections for consumers, public health and workers all sound great.
