The wealthiest rental investors receive the highest tax benefits from negative gearing. In 2022-23, about 37% of rental deductions went to 500,000 landlords in the top 10% of income earners. Some 71% of rental deductions were claimed by the top 30% of income earners.
Negative gearing tax breaks could finally be tightened in the May budget. What options are on the table?
And what might it mean for renters – especially rental housing supply and prices – if the government does tackle negative gearing?

His coordinator and advocate, Jayde Parker, notified the national disability insurance scheme of a change in the family’s circumstances and asked for support for Aidyn’s mother, who also has autism.

“Up until then, they had support coordination, an OT, physio, a dietitian and a feeding therapist,”
Families of children with autism say their NDIS plans are already being cut – and the alternatives aren’t there
Before a massive overhaul of the disability scheme, families say plans are already being slashed or rejected as they are told to wait for support programs that do not yet exist

Alisa is an award winning journo from New Mexico. This is why the Australian 60 Minutes story on New Mexico was arse covering bullshit. The NM Truth Commission is like our NACC - a govt body with no intentions of actually finding the answers.

If you were horrified watching elected leaders run & scramble because of gun violence, just imagine how my daughter Jaime felt in school running from an active shooter before she was killed.

Now, become a part of the solution & only vote for people determined to address gun violence in America.

Didn't Melania's husband mock the Pope, post blasphemous content, threaten genocide, ridicule and threaten the press, and engage in an illegal, unwinnable war with Iran -- all of that in the past month?

Very offensive, divisive, and hateful.

The regime is illegally blocking the release of evidence of Trump’s extensive collaboration with Epstein. They’re agitating for war with France and Germany.

It’s completely insane anyone supports them.
