The NKC schools community breakfast this morning was inspiring as always. The kids are amazing.

But also…always great to catch up with CSD credit union CEO Edward Watts who has been my best pal since we were 18 years old.

I’ve seen the guy help other people for 25 years now!

I swung by the election board in Liberty to vote on Tuesday.

Remember, Missouri now has no-excuse early voting so there’s nothing stopping you from getting it done!

Oldest building in Kansas City?

500 Westport Road built in 1850 where Kelly’s is today.

Jim Bridger once owned the building next door at 504 Westport Road.

Hank and Abby seemed to like the history this AM and Abby even asked for an encore of Johnny Horton’s song Jim Bridger.

I swung by an event tonight at The Martin event space in Martin City.

Between Martin City Brewery, Jack Stack, and Jess & Jim’s, 135th & Holmes might have the greatest combo of beer, BBQ, and steaks of any corner on the entire planet.

Hank and I ducked off the campaign trail today for a couple of soccer games in Springfield.

Added bonuses that Hank’s great grandma got to watch a game and we checked in on Hank’s great friend @fogle4mo while she was on the doors!

This building went up in 1919 and it is thriving once again as the Aiden Hotel, because somebody believed in what it could be.

One building at a time, imagine what our downtown can become.

Proud to stand with the working people of Kansas City.

Happy Labor Day, and don't forget to thank a union member, today and every day.

Dolly Parton never pretended to be anything but what she was, and that is what makes her unforgettable.

I convinced Ellie and Abby to cruise around town politicking with me this morning and we had a blast.

We went to the Midtown Democrats meeting in Westport then heard a great campaign message from #TeamMPH in the third district before finishing it off with Starbucks.

Kansas City covers about 319 square miles, and some days it feels like you're trekking across all of it.

Huge thanks to the South Kansas City Alliance for making it easy to stay plugged into what is happening in the neighborhood.
