Delhi isn’t soulless. It’s just loud. The soul is still here, parked under a neem tree 🌳 somewhere, waiting for you to switch off the engine.
The photo of the tree + car is the perfect opener — pin it to post 1.

Try this: pick one thing on your usual route — a tree, a wall, a corner. Look at it every day for a week. Don’t photograph it. Look at it. Watch what it does to your nervous system. That’s existence remembering you.

It shows up in portals you keep walking past — dust rising in afternoon light, a pigeon completely still on a ledge, steam off chai, the city’s quiet minute before dawn, a stranger’s laugh you weren’t supposed to hear.

Presence doesn’t need a mountain. A 200-year-old neem in a parking lot is doing the same work the Himalayas do. You’re just more willing to notice things when you’ve paid for the trip.

I parked under this tree today. It was here before the road, before the colony, probably before the idea of “Delhi” as we know it. Cars come and go. The tree keeps making shade. That’s a whole sermon if you’ll sit with it for thirty seconds.

Delhi won’t hand you presence on a platter. You have to steal it. From a neem tree 🌳 older than your colony. From the strip of sky 🌌 between two flyovers. From the silence between two metro announcements. Existence didn’t leave this city — it just stopped announcing itself.
