I’m 73 now. It’s come too fast. I see my life something like an ocean tide: as I grew up I saw the tide coming in, bringing with it middle class prosperity & opportunities. The Reagan administration was about when it flowed back out, taking with it fair wages, unions, women’s rights & more.

In terms of Phillies baseball, this past Sunday (June 27?) I darn near forgot about their game being on in the afternoon. By the time I got the flatscreen warmed up, I was in the chair for no more than 20 seconds that Schwarber kissed another one goodbye. Sometimes things like this happen.

I don’t know if I was just raised this way. I don’t remember having a really bad experience in the Big Apple, or I just find their fans really obnoxious. But boy do I hate the Mets. Thank you, Phillies, for dismantling them this weekend!

Boy do I agree with Bernie I’ve been waiting for someone in his position as a congressman to speak out against our continuing annual aid (military and otherwise) to Israel. I kind of think that the American poor here at home could use that.
