I dont think it owes much to Star Trek. They're both in the rich sci-fi universe with very similar political sensibilities, and lots of episodes - they're bound to have similar plots.

Seems a bit weak sauce? Both Dr Who and Star Trek are/were "woke", and both had many variations of the "the monster-of-the-week is the victim, and the humans are the real monsters" type stories. Another good Pertwee era example would be the Silurians. The original Gorn are another.

Sphalerite appears in all the beginner crystal classes, but Anorthite is half a labradorite. Not sure which half: the drooling half or the weaponised tail half?

A 6 month German shepherd mix is indeed smart. I didn't catch it but he now knows how to nudge the nozzle so the water goes over the pond so he can catch it on the other side. (It was wedged a bit hard here)

Finally made it to bluesky - looks like I missed 2-3 yrs of #mincup , but it looks like #cassitetite finally made it! I would nominate every year but it kept falling on tin ears, and every year I would make the same bad joke...
