Another way to look at this is the $500 billion will go to enrich a small number of people while literally blowing up tax dollars in foreign countries while the the $22 billion is going to something durable that can be used by the taxpayers for decades.

One is a handout, the other is an investment
New Rule:

"No one failing to pay taxes honestly in previous years may be elected President. Presidential candidates shall release a minimum of the most recent 10 years of tax returns for public viewing."
