And finally, how that same reference evolved.

Once Jorin and Erik were established, I de-aged their features to create Todd, using ACR and Liquify to tweak his features and demeanour as he grows from a curious 13 to a dad at 15 while maintaining a strong family resemblance to his brothers.

Now the design bit.

I’m a communications designer by profession, so I wanted these to work as a visual system rather than five covers that just happen to sit together. This is some of what went into building that.

And finally, Wolf: The New Pack.

This is the longest arc of the series, following Todd’s son from infancy into adulthood. The book is about growing up early, naming yourself, finding your pack and becoming part of a generation that refuses to be boxed in.

Next up 2000: Origins of the Bloodline.

Todd is fifteen, already on the rise as a skateboarder, when a phone call home reveals a secret nobody in his family even knew existed. What follows is a story about fallout, shame, family, forgiveness when he’s forced to grow up too fast.

Then comes 1999: Summer of Origins.

Two couples, two cars, two months. The twins, their partners and eventually Todd head into Europe for a messy, formative summer of travel, family history, attraction, freedom and figuring out who they are.

Same summer, this time through Shaun’s eyes. A companion to Sixty Days of Summer, getting inside the head of the person who always looks like he’s fine, even when he really isn’t.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I think society is so stuck on operating around typical norms that for any of us who fall outside that, it’s an extremely difficult and often traumatic time. I’m sorry you went through that and I hope you’ve been able to move past it 🫶🫶🫶
