Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is one of my personal heroes. His life was defined by service, integrity, and a deep commitment to others. This Monday, I hope we all can find a way (big or small) to serve our communities and help carry his legacy forward.

This week I was in Whitman County and stopped at the 65 feet tall Codger Pole in Colfax. This is a tribute to the men who replayed a 1938 high school football game 50 years later. The faces on the pole are the men who played in those games. A reminder that our roots run deep in Eastern Washington!

The gap between farm costs and prices received has hit a 10 year high. Congress must take back control of tariffs as stated in the Constitution, and do their part to support our family farms.
