Help @nitachicago.bsky.social prioritize the improvements that matter most to you! Take the online survey and share your priorities for everyday transit service and long-term investments as NITA develops its first regional budget for CTA, Metra, and Pace.
More frequent service. Safer, more accessible stations and stops. 🚇

Tell NITA which improvements would make the biggest difference in your transit experience. Your feedback will help shape regional budget priorities.

Hey #bikechi, do you ride the north branch trail? Do you hate having to cross 6 lanes plus a high-speed slip lane at Devon? Come join me tonight to call for better/safer!
At Edgebrook elementary from 5:30-7:30pm, there’s a CDOT meeting on improving this monstrosity!

❌ Today, for a second quarter in a row, City Council has ghosted CTA at the quarterly hearings THEY mandated by law.

This is profoundly unacceptable, particularly as we are rapidly racing toward a critical deadline for NITA board appointments that will have to be approved by Council.

OEMC, along with other Illinois agencies, is appealing the denial of a Presidential Disaster Declaration. Those in the affected areas are urged to submit any new or previously unreported information. Visit iemaohs.illinois.gov/recovery to complete the survey.

I'm a 57 year old college educated man.

I learned about the Tulsa race massacre from a TV show 6 years ago.

Schools have been very selective about the history that is taught.

That's just one of the reasons why this matters.
Despite the academic capitulations, media collapse, and Trump's attacks on history and race, it's now more important than ever to teach on all of these issues.

So I will.

I have set up an independent course to teach Race, Media and International Affairs 101 and 102 in October.

Sign up here!
Fall Registration for Race, Media & International Affairs with Karen Attiah — Resistance Study Series
A virtual, seven week beginner and intermediate course on the history of race, mass media, and the modern world order.

That’s deep 🤔
👀 The McCook reservoir is currently 91% full of stormwater. This "gorge" is nearly 330' deep and the far wall is about 1/2 mile away from the camera.
