Josiah Lyle was born Wednesday at 8 pounds. He and mom are doing well, and the older siblings are adjusting to life as a family of 5!

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING:

The latest Severe Thunderstorm Warning in the Northland will focus along Highway 70 in Washburn and Sawyer counties over the next hour.

Hail and wind gusts are the greatest threat, but this storm did form a funnel cloud near Webb Lake not long ago.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING:

The severe weather threat has shifted to northwest Wisconsin for the evening.

A new thunderstorm crossing from Minnesota will be capable of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to 1.25" in diameter.

The farthest south thunderstorm in this line making its way through the Northland will have the possibility of producing wind gusts up to 60 mph and hail up to 1-inch in diameter.

A new thunderstorm has been gaining strength as it heads towards the Twin Ports region of the Northland.

High winds and hail are possible with this storm.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING:

The thunderstorm that prompted the Tornado Warning in parts of St. Louis County has seen its rotation weaken.

It is still capable of producing strong wind gusts and possible hail as it continues east through the Northland.

The first Severe Thunderstorm Warning this Tuesday in the Northland is between the Iron Range and Twin Ports region.

Strong winds and hail are possible from this storm.

3 P.M. RADAR UPDATE:

The next round of showers and thunderstorms continues to develop and move through the northern half of the Northland.

None of the storms are severe at this moment, but gusty winds, small hail, and heavy rainfall are possible.

We are back to the summer feel in the air with humid dew points and temperatures back to the 80s.

However, this is going to allow showers and thunderstorms to form and pass through the rest of today.

A storm system will bring several rounds of showers and thunderstorms tonight and Tuesday. Some storms could be strong or severe. It will be more humid and warmer with highs in the 70s and low 80s.

It is a seasonally cool day for many in the region thanks to a light lake breeze and more cloud cover.

A few sprinkles are possible in the Rainy River Basin, but we should stay dry through most of tonight.

A high-pressure system will keep the Northland dry tonight and Monday with a bit of cloud cover passing through at times. A light lake breeze will keep those next to Lake Superior seasonal for late August standards.

The southern half of Aitkin County is under a new Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

This thunderstorm is still capable of producing hail up to 1 inch in diameter and wind gusts up to 60 mph.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS:

The latest Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for the Northland are continuations of the storms in the Iron Range and north of the Brainerd Lakes region.

In addition to hail and strong winds, a funnel cloud is possible as well. One was reported near Jenkins.

Greatest threats include hail up to 2" in diameter, and wind gusts up to 70 mph.

A brief spin-up tornado is also possible.
