Uh. Hi.
Something I love about tabletop RPGs is how they seem to naturally resist corporate attempts to extract as much money as possible out of us.

The vast majority of us aren’t really interested in truth, but in finding more compatible and palatable lies. We prefer comfort. This is why social networking is undoing us. It allows easy siloing and self-deceit. “At least I’m not XYZ…” The story of the 21st century.

Oh hello random person or event. I would like to pretend I’m too busy to pay attention but then I’d be lying to both us. Proceed, if you must.

Whatever you think about it as an economic system, capitalism was designed to limit, not finance, direct, and influence government. American capitalism is deeply political and won't admit it likes it that way.

In a truly, purely capitalistic state, those with capital would not want the government to interfere even with funding and monetary incentives that distribute public money to private capital.

I feel enlightened.
I want everyone to know,

What is 'enlightenment'? No.

What is 'karma'? I cannot answer because of my acid reflux.

What is 'dukkha'? What is 'dharma'? Dukkha wins matches. Dharma wins the cup.

Rob Reiner doesn't age. He's one of these guys that feels born a young version of old, and then just stays there until he dies. I just checked and he's 78, but he looks my age (56).

The fear that your children might grow up to have different opinions and beliefs than yours is a necessary tension in a free society.

Seen Alien countless times but never really noticed that some of the crew are smoking hand-rolled joints after they come out of cryosleep. Well. It WAS still the 70s. It's kind of shocking we don't see Chewbacca in the original Star Wars busting out a blunt. I mean he seems chill like that.

I think we must accept that America is just dropping the torch of liberal democracy. Who will take it up now? Who could? I wonder…

Here at GenCon, I stopped by the Crystal Caste booth where they had some d20 earrings. I asked if they had any pride rainbow d20s. They seemed annoyed and they just point blank said, “No, the owners are religious and won’t sell that.”

I just heard Musk’s role in, and views on, government described as “feudalism in a spacesuit” and it’s so perfect.

Everyone hates the Invisible Man. And he was just trying to dance like nobody's watching! Thanks a lot, H.G. Wells.

Well, it’s official. JD Vance’s presence was enough to kill a pope.

Something we can take from the surrealist movement even if we are not surrealists. Ideas want to be alive. Not strategized over, not owned by such and so. Just alive. To try to enslave them, OR deny their right to exist out of calculation or perfectionism? Either is an affront.
