YACHTARA

Boats became computers. Nobody handed sailors the manual. We're building the app that fixes that — weather routing and boat management, whole boat, one place. Beta's on the water; launch soon. ⚓
There's a forum inside Yachtara, and it's quiet enough that you'll actually get an answer.

Boards for passages and destinations, weather and seamanship, life aboard, gear, engines and electrics.

Tell us what you sail and where it is right now.

A week in, and the launch offer runs until 1 November.

40% off the first year of Premium annual — EUR 76.80 instead of EUR 128, on the website only.

Two forecast models. Same sea area. One says 18 knots by Thursday afternoon, the other says 25 and six hours earlier.

The instinct is to pick the one you like. Better instinct: treat the disagreement as the forecast.

Look at the spread before you look at the number.

The jobs nobody remembers until the boat is out of the water:

— The impeller. It was fine last season, which is exactly the problem.
— Anodes on shaft and rudder, not just the hull one you can see.

Write them down somewhere that reminds you.

Tomorrow morning.

Weather routing, anchor watch, maintenance, manuals, crew, offline forecast packs. The whole boat in one app.

The anchor watch is free.

Drop the pin before you turn in. If the boat ends up somewhere it shouldn't be, you'll know. You sleep, it watches.

What happens to a system when nobody's standing next to it?

On a long passage you can't reach the thing. Can't reboot it from the dock. Whatever it does at 4am, three hundred miles out, it does alone.

That's how Yachtara was built.

Most boats live in five places. Weather in one app. Maintenance in a notebook. Manuals on a laptop that never comes aboard.

None of it is hard. Scattered is what fails at 3am.

Yachtara puts it in one place.

Yachtara opens Saturday 26 September.

Weather routing and boat management for cruising sailors. The whole boat in one app.

Built and tested where it has to work: on real boats, by a small group of experienced sailors, in a closed beta that is still running.

A production release is in preparation.

Yachtara arrives this September ⚓

Weather you can act on.

Fronts and pressure on the map. Live rain radar. And two forecast models side by side, so you can see where they disagree before you leave.

Tap anywhere on the water and the tide comes back: the height now, the curve for the days ahead, the next high and the next low.

Enough to plan a day around. For estuaries and harbour entry, the official tables still rule.

Sleep at anchor. Know what is due. Find the manual fast.

None of it is exciting. All of it is the difference between a boat that is a pleasure and a boat that is a second job.

Your whole boat. One app. Arriving this September ⚓

Yachtara is being tested where it has to work: aboard, on real boats, by sailors who have been doing this a long time.

Closed beta, a small group. What they find goes back in before anyone else sees it.

Arriving this September.

There is a particular kind of week before a launch. Heads down, nothing to show, everything to get right.

Work on the weather side continues. The rest is preparation.

Yachtara arrives this September.

Rigging check.
August 24, 2026 at 3:23 PM
Most passage decisions aren't about the route. They're about when to leave. Watching several days of wind evolve before picking a window is the quiet core of passage planning — and the first thing Yachtara was built around.
