No.
I think I made the right choice every time I see the comically evil that Christians always side with.

Today I just noticed that people now pronounce FAQ as "f-a-q" instead of "fack" like we did in the ancient times.

Sometime 1994, a family friend picked me up without telling me what was happening. He took me & his kids to his makeshift real estate office & he sat us in front of PCs, typed a few DOS commands & loaded up...DOOM.

This was the first time I ever played DOOM and it was fucking amazing.

1996, The first year I was in Drafting class in high school, we used old DOS PCs to run an ancient DOS CAD app.

My school switched out the PCs for brand new Windows 95 Pentium II PCs the next year. Teacher still insisted we use the old DOS app. No using the Internet. Those machines were wasted.

No one ever talks about how well the beginning of The Goonies captured the feeling being a kid and everyone just showing up unannounced at the house in the morning to hang out for the day. Nothing planned, just kids goofing off until they find trouble to get into.

The talk of Fall 1988 at my school, in my 1st grade class was Nintendo. Classmates and I would trade tips and tricks, passwords, talk rumors, anything Nintendo.

This one kid would always brag about having Mario for his Atari and everyone was like "yeah, sure buddy."

When I first watched the Buffy the Vampire Slayer film, I thought this guy looked & sounded like Pee-wee Herman, it had to be him, I was sure of it. I was 11 and still believed Pee-wee was a real person. Confusion when I couldn't find him in the credits. Like Flight of the Navigator all over again.

I remember when I “discovered” that you can record songs off the radio when I was in 5th grade. I tried making the raddest mix tape, but I gave up after a couple weeks because I could never get the songs I wanted without Casey Kasem speaking over the end no matter how much I crossed my fingers.

Arcade games at various places in Camp Humphreys, South Korea in the late 80s, early 90s usually cost 25 cents a game, so $1 = 4 games. Some like Sega's Time Traveler cost 50 cents.

Off post, in the Korean game rooms, games cost ₩100 a game, so ₩1,000 = 10 games.

Game rooms were the better deal.

I might be a little less distrustful of AI if the dudes promoting it, supporting it, insisting on it, and advocating for it weren’t the worst fucking people on the planet.

I can’t name the first video game I ever played since it’s before my earliest memories, but I do know the first game I ever was obsessed with was BurgerTime for Intellivision.

I drank water from a hose growing up, plenty of times. Sometimes after putting the hose against the ground and digging a hole with it. Shit was disgusting.

Dreamed I was watching a cartoon about a vampire at war with other vampires. Instead of dusting them, he’d magically put them in weird sci-fi pods. Animation quality abysmal.

Got scared for a sec, thought I didn’t remember this year.

Watching horror movies as a kid too young to be watching them, I wasn't too scared because the monsters only went for grown ups and teenagers. I felt safe until I saw the 1988 The Blob remake and Killer Klowns from Outer Space. (No child dies on screen in Killer Klowns, but they do target children)

Sometimes I think I was just too dumb to figure out what was going on in Final Fantasy VII, but then I read long explanations about it and replies that are even longer correcting them, and I’m like ok.

9/11/01 was a day off of work but I woke up early that morning to pick up P.O.D.'s Satellite album. Mom & I ended up spending the day transfixed to the living room TV, flipping to different news channels. Went to the store later that day and to church to pray that night, all in a daze.

Tripped and fell on my ass today. Scraped knee and elbow but generally ok. I remember this happening frequently as a kid. How am I alive.

Haven't been blocked by a rando I've never interacted with in a while, but there seems to be someone blocking people liking Zelda posts today.

Thinking about how Legend of Zelda feels like it's been here my whole life and it kind of has. I can trace my school years through when I first played them. Legend of Zelda and Zelda II 1st grade, A Link to the Past 6th, Link's Awakening 7th, Ocarina 12th.
