@martinlewis.moneysavingexpert.com if my son and housemates gave two months notice on 1st May to end their student tenancy early does that mean 1st May and 1st June are their final two payments? The landlord is saying it’s not enough notice and they have to pay again on 1st July.

One of the Wigan cllrs who posed with the Jimmy Savile poster in Wigan (which @bylinetimes.bsky.social first reported) has admitted the picture was real after all. After ignoring our calls and emails, and Reform figures cast doubt on it.

She admitted this after Makerfield's polls closed last night.
I am deeply sorry for any distress this situation has caused and I am incredibly disappointed in my own naivety
