The Massachusetts Democratic Party and the Massachusetts Republican Party both oppose Question 3, along with state legislative leaders. But the Yes on 3 campaign announced Monday that former GOP Gov. Charlie Baker has joined former Democratic Gov. Deval Patrick in endorsing the election reform.

Why? Despite making up half of the population, only 33% of the state legislature are women.

Massachusetts deserves better. Under Q3, first-time women and POC candidates are less likely to be blocked by low turnout primaries.
