Our love affair with #spain #Costadelsol region, with its perpetual sunshine, has captured our hearts, and we’ve made it an integral part of our annual #Snowbird #retirement journey. Our initial visit in 2022 was sparked by a touch of whimsy, reminiscing about my partner’s high school excursion.
We stayed for a week in #Ireland happened on impulse, sparked by the realization that our flight home from Europe included a layover in #Dublin. We found a reasonably priced hotel along Dublin’s outer ring road, conveniently located beside both a train station and several bus routes into the city.

Fascinating experience during #snowbird #travel in #Turkey was exploring the Underground City of #Saratlı Kırkgöz, near #Cappadocia. #Flintstones cave-like homes. 36 known subterranean cities in the region, some extend up to eight stories deep and span as much as eight kilometers.

#Gilgamesh, one of the oldest written stories on earth from 4,000 years ago, from before the #Bible was written has a nice 1 hour YouTube synopsis. Inspired after seeing the clay tablets used to write the story. The original Noah's Ark story and many other bits that were used in the bible. #Iraq
We thoroughly enjoyed the many fantastic stone sculptures and 3D reliefs, located in the outer edge of an old rock quarry in #Osuna, #Spain, during this years #Snowbird excursion to the inland mountain parts of #Costadelsol.
