thank u!! 🫂🫂 i rlly relate to ur experience even though our contexts r different, for me i always felt embarrassed when my family mispronounced words bc i felt like ppl were going to discriminate against us for it

ouu i had similar experiences as a kid with cantonese, looking back it really stunted my desire to learn the language because any attempt at speaking it would be extremely embarrassing and had social implications (i still don’t really like it!) it’s hard to suddenly start learning via immersion!
