Yellowstone Landscape Southwest Region
@ylsouthwest.bsky.social
The people of Yellowstone Landscape have designed and built much of the central New Mexico landscape. We’re proud of our 50+ years of growth and water conservation decades before it was popular. www.yellowstonelandscape.com
Great video of Matthew talking about his career in landscaping. And he started in Albuquerque!

With our hot, dry summer, don't be surprised to see early color change on trees and shrubs and leaf drop earlier than usual, too. We've been collecting leaves at our clients' properties for weeks now!

This month's spotlight is on Robin Luna, Tree Climber and Crew Leader in the Albuquerque Tree Care division. Robin has been with Yellowstone for almost one year, scaling trees to reach high places to trim branches, remove hazards and dead material, and ensure tree health and beauty.

Yellowstone Landscape’s New Mexico branches actively support their local communities by sponsoring youth & high school sports teams & Rodeo de Santa Fe, employee volunteerism like recent cleanup at Watermelon Mountain Ranch Animal Rescue & regular meal service at Albuquerque’s Ronald McDonald House.

Contributing to the community is so integral to company culture that it is one of our 31 Fundamentals. These guiding principles were originally developed by Heads Up Landscape & later adopted company-wide by Yellowstone. Each week a Fundamental is shared via internal emails & discussed in meetings.

While the holidays are traditionally the time of year when companies show their appreciation for their customers, vendors and the community, Yellowstone Landscape believes that supporting the community through volunteerism and sponsorships is a year-round endeavor.

Look who got some well deserved accolades in the newspaper! Congrats to Cody and Eric for their well deserved promotions to Senior Business Development Managers.

Giving back to the community is easy when it means visiting Watermelon Mountain Ranch animal rescue and being greeted by sweet Ellie. We did some weed removal in kennels and played with/visited the dogs and cats. We also donated a bunch of supplies to keep these lovely creatures safe & comfortable.

This is just a small portion of what we've gathered as part of our donation drive for Goodwill Industries this month. Goodwill funds free programs and services for people right here in our community, with 88 cents of every dollar going directly toward supporting the mission!

The annual Designers Meeting in Orlando was an opportunity to connect, collaborate, share ideas, and continue growing together as one team. We also got to visit the Florida Nursery, Growers & Landscape Association show happening at the same time!

Team building doesn't have to be boring! We recently invited our team mates to paint by numbers, to encourage instruction following, concentration and cameraderie. Anselmo took the best picture prize!

Do they call August the dog days of summer. because everyone is panting from the heat? The weather impacts our crews - they're hot, especially because proper attire means long pants, boots, and long sleeved shirts, as well as protective equipment like hats, gloves and vests.

Ever wonder what proper turf edging should look like? Here you go! Our crews did a fabulous job on this property, making sure that weeds don't infiltrate the edging, like they have in this other property (not ours!)

What an incredible National Night Out last night at Encanto Village community. We had a foam party with good times, non-stop smiles and lots and lots of laughter! There was a helicopter flyover, the fire department was there and we even got a picture with Mayor Keller. Can't wait for next year!

This month's spotlight is on Christie Schultz, Business Development Manager in the Maintenance Division. Christie started in June after working in the landscaping industry for three years prior. She brings in new projects and ensures client relationships with Yellowstone get off on the right foot.

Did you get to the Esencia de Santa Fe grand opening last month? This Santa Fe area master-planned community in the heart of Santa Fe's Community College District has native revegetation areas we’ve planted with coconut erosion blankets seen in the first photo as yellowish areas.
