On the US side those changes will show up as changes in (service) exports, and on the other as changes in who they import those services from.

Not my area of specialty, but as the only thing being produced by the gold is storage costs, and the only thing produced by the change is transportation fees, the change is going to show up in GDP/GNP under those two categories.

Consumer prices are more elastic, so reductions in supply will affect prices less.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I've been generally aware of the use of outgroups etc, but this was a viceral explanation and demonstration that helped cement how dehumanization is part of that. Thanks to you, I learned something new.

Yeah, isn't it close to 365.24 days per year or something? Any other changes need to address that thousandths place so 2000 years sounds about right.
