Sadly the nest was abandoned three days ago, not sure if eggs were taken by a predator or not hatched for some reason. 😥

I went to see about a Great Horned Owl today .. she's roosting!!
I hope to go back and see the Owlets!

A group of fifteen cardinals sits among the many thin branches of a drooping tree limb in the midst of a snow storm against a background of distant bare trees and snowy ground. The six males are brilliantly red with black face masks, triangular orange beaks, and red crests while the remaining females are a much more subdued but also stunning creamy brown with pale red highlights in their crests, wings, and tails.

We had our snow with a topping of sleet (not sure how many inches but 16 +). My neighbor helped me dig out since my snowblower is protesting 🤣
We will be below freezing for several days 🙄
