Just finished reading “The Radium Girls” by Kate Moore and it was a really enjoyable read in the sense that it did an excellent job telling the stories of the women who worked for the watch/clock factories with the radioactive material and paid for it with their lives.

About a month or so ago I decided to give NetGalley a try and finally act out one of my literary childhood fantasies of being a copy editor. So far it’s going well. Currently reading “Public Access Afterworld” by Jane Schoenbrun and am really enjoying it so far.

Trying out a ”cozy romance” to help even out some more intense reading I’m doing otherwise and I’m still not sure the genre is for me. Something tells me that Iris from “The Strawberry Patch Pancake House” and I have different standards for men.

Last week my Ancestry profile me that Louisa May Alcott was one of my distant cousins and this week it’s telling me that I’m cousins with Carole Lombard. Kinda cool if it’s true.

Wanted to take a little break from reading about women experiencing horrible deaths from Radium poisoning; so I chose a book about a zombie apocalypse. Apparently this character is an offshoot from The Walking Dead, which I know only a bit about. I enjoyed this though. Nice artwork and LGBTQ rep.
