TOP 10 FAVORITE ANIME OF 2025
Another year wraps up and there was a ton of great anime. Looking back, it was really hard to pick only 10 shows for it and maybe some things would be different if I wrote this in a different day, but I like writing when I feel like it, and that's now.

Feels like gaming is turning into a techbro only hobby with all the news being about slop. Pretty much killing all the remaining interest I had in it, no one cares about it as art.

Hilarious how Gamers and a big part of the industry refuse to engage critically with Pokémon Scarlet Violet, they just say "graphics bad" because that way you don't need to consider game design and artistic sensibilities to talk about it. You're at the risk of finding qualities in it, the horror.

His "solution" to rising hardware prices is even more AI and for you to not even own the console as well.
PlayStation founder Ken Kutaragi says discs became "metaphor for 'owning' games", and that upset at their discontinuation is a "mentality issue" www.eurogamer.net/ken-kutaragi...

I'm happy about Monaca working on Nue's Exorcist anime, so random top 10. Favorite Keiichi Okabe composed songs:
10. Maon Kurosaki - Lisianthus youtu.be/rX9CX4edVX8
Love everything Maon, so needed this here. Cool song with a bit of drama in it.

I generally think that if you dislike the trope of the heroine beating the protagonist, you don't like anime enough

All these takes about "anime running out of IP" because of the Naruto, Dragon Ball and Bleach announcements are WRONG and are actually helping out the Corporate Greed that hurts artists.
There are tons of manga, novels, etc to adapt and lots of great original ideas. Stop these takes already.

Hoping that all these third party character crossovers in games like Sonic Crossworlds and Fortnite makes Nintendo think this trend is already overdone and Smash Bros goes back to being about Nintendo series instead of internet hype.
