One of the things institutions and fields need to really start yesterday is anyone going into a stem field should have in their education training around communication or public engagement. We need this to prevent certain grifters from exploiting "I'm just asking questions". #scicomm #outreach

Question, how much money is spent in tax payer money for the government to argue their lame ass EOs, violation of laws, and potential suits for freedom of speech? I want to make sure the next election cycle that number is properly labeled as waste. Its a clown show here, a hazing clown show!

I love watching docs, including on true crime/killers, but for some reason, ones on the entertainment industry (like the biggest loser) make me more uncomfortable. I guess it's a different level of malevolence and is more greed focused. Does anyone else have a genre that makes them feel like that?

I feel like if I see "digital creator" on an account that is run by someone who only post political stills and memes should be renamed "grifter" or "talentless hack". I swear to god its always someone's middle age dad, looking down at the camera.

After listening to a news story, I am curious: why does it seem like so many degrees from international communities are not treated with validity? I worked with someone in a museum in HR who had a background in microbiology, but when moving here, it was not permitted. Why is this? #science #helpme

When I first started my scicomm journey in undergrad, I was a paleontolgy who loved talking about the science and painting verbal pictures for people. Even then I thought most scientists should take a public speaking or debate class as a sub for another core elective.

I hate greedy people, dealing with several Boomers and older gen x they think they can do whatever they want and then if you have the audacity to call them out it's like 40 years of their trauma erupts. But then are shocked when you laugh and tell them to fuck off #fuckboomers #learnrespect

I literally cannot understand the people supporting those in power anymore. I know there are things that they have exploited, such as lack of literacy in media/science/medicine but their overall fear of the unknown. But seeing measles retun and they don't do a fucking thing is just baffling to me!

Buying a house has me hating just about everyone and has triggered a level of panic/depression/anxiety attacks that are the worst I've had since starting grad school. I don't know how to do this without breaking right now.
