The common thread across every incident I have witnessed is that no matter what the other guy did, "you rocked the boat and that's worse." Doesn't matter what the subject is. Could be AI. Could be white supremacy. Could be that they're an Actual Predator. But you Said Something and that's worse.

The statement that RPers do not engage in critical thinking is unfortunately Literally Just True. I have had the grave misfortune of being involved in the larger RP community since 2016 and in that time I have certainly seen a fuck of a lot of "Social Capital and Coziness > Safety" prioritization

Rin used to hide it, but he stopped after a while for various reasons. It's like a curse on his nosiness too.
Felix probably went "WELL!" and then sparkled about it for a day or so, thanking the employer who paid for them. He probably just thought it'd always be that way.

Felix's glasses are as thick as his pinky because he's basically just short of blind with poor depth perception. (This is why his eyes are weird!)
Because he spent years without glasses, he can get by pretty well with them off. But he really prefers to actually see more than just blurs and smears.

That could be really fun!

Like surely there's an exception... Somewhere... There's always exceptions to this kind of thing always.
Even the cute ones I can think of at least aestheticly vibe kodana or egl.

Baz *is* studying to become an Archon of fifth astral anthropology, with a focus on magic and its use in daily life during that time. He doesn't hate it, but he'd jump at the chance to permamently get out of Sharlayan if it didn't result in losing everything.

Felix would take that chance in a heart beat. He'd study aether, specifically what happens to aether when Ashkin become ashkin or like drowned (etc) become drowned in an attempt to figure out what's going on with his levin issue. But he'd be terrible at it and too chaotic to last in that enviroment.

No point on fearmongering. Modding/plugins are just too big and contrary to what a lot of people like to believe it does not encompass just "modding" in the Sims 4 sense of the word. Dalamud is a money maker for XIV and SE knows that.

Bazil *is* actually charming and confident. There's no mask and it's not hidden beneath awkwardness. That doesn't make him a good person, he just doesn't *lead* with the abrasive arrogance and contempt for authority.
I think he's MOSTLY likeable, but might still bristle some people.
