Tokyo Game Show is in four days and, I guess, Capcom is set to discuss the Ace Attorney series. Is this going to be a new game? A season of the Anime devoted to AA4? Phoenix Wright in Smash Bros!?

It's gonna be the Switch 2 versions of the HD collection or PWvsPL HD.

Ed Sheeran could’ve done something brave and mind-blowing. He’s big enough and established enough that he could have done what the Chicks (formerly the Dixie Chicks) did and made a political stand that didn’t kill his career. It coulda changed minds. Instead he had to strap in on that fence.

I absolutely adore the idea of Don Kreig actually establishing himself on the grand line and just seething every moment because his title of "World's Strongest" was clearly self-appointed and so very incredibly wrong. I imagine he's a thing pirates joked about as his name grew on that sea.

I try really hard not to talk about or even think about Sydney Sweeney.

But today I'm putting that on pause so I can babble like a lunatic about how hypocritical the right is.

*ahem*

The right are a bunch of morally bankrupt hypocrites.

It got a complete ending where the creator got to finish it on his own terms.

Not everything needs to go on into infinity, but maybe more pressing is not everything needs a continuation a decade after its finale.
Alex Hirsch once again shuts down hopes for a ‘Gravity Falls’ continuation:

“I’ve been saying, sorry, show’s over for a decade. Yet every single time, someone’s saying, ‘OK, but when are you gonna answer the question?’”

Okay, check this out. I'm great at these.

*ahem*

A variety show within a show that features celebrity and musical guests. We occasionally cut to Kermit as the beleaguered but good-natured showrunner who has to deal with his crazy castmates backstage.

Crazy how easy I came up with that, right?
There are currently no active conversations for a full ‘MUPPET SHOW’ series revival.

Disney, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures have had difficulties with deciding on a premise for the series that they can all agree on.

I find there's a bit of... redundancy in the last couple Metal Gear games. It's weird. Peace Walker's story served to be, more or less, an elongation of Big Boss stepping into his role as a monster. Ditto with MGSV.

But in terms of gameplay, MGSV seemed to want to be Peace Walker done "right."

I don't have any intention on grabbing OoT remake. I both lack the hardware to play it and the interest in picking it up.

But I will say making the Kokiri tunic look like it was woven with grass would have been an amazing thing to see fan art of, but way too damned busy on the eye in a game.

I haven't picked up the new Onimusha just yet (budget in tandem with scheduling issues) but a collective look at the franchise before this game is... bleak for the setting.

Like, their sort-of sister series Resident Evil is in a very similar boat. A step back on the overall story is sad.

I'll recognize that Persona 5 and Royal don't have the most robust or deep story. The vast majority of events that happen to and around characters are very unambiguous in both the motivations of characters as well as the morality of the actions our protagonists take.

But there IS a duality at play

It's no secret I adore Digimon World, but I do have a bit of a bone to pick with this game.

A lot of this game is very deliberately obfuscated. Of what you're actually able to learn about the game, I'd say easily it's less than a tenth of the overall wealth of knowledge hidden in there.

When it comes to remakes, I genuinely do not care about its quality compared to the original in most cases. Most cases. I believe it's important for a remake to be able to pass or fail on its own merits.

This is especially true if the original is easily available.

Spoilers for Ace Attorney 2:

I've very occasionally seen folks say Matt Engarde is obviously the culprit in case 2-4 of Ace Attorney.

And, yeah. He is. But you're not supposed to think he isn't.

You're supposed to be hoping, practically praying he isn't. That's the point.

I'm going to preface this with saying I am deeply upset that the pipeline from gen 3 Pokemon to current games is being finally closed in 5-ish months. I don't like it. I don't want it to happen.

But let's keep some perspective. This doesn't even crack the top ten worst things this year in gaming.

Look, man. It's not hard. Seriously, it isn't hard. We put Meltan in Wind and Waves and then we either set up a repeatably find-able resource called Meltan Candy that evolves it into Meltmetal OR we make it one of the countless legendary and mythical exclusive items you get from the flea market.

I'm sorta replaying/sorta for the first time playing Ultra Sun and in the grocery store you can get free samples of berries (including some berries that seem to have no real use).

Anyway, today the clerk offered me Rawst Berries "fresh from Johto."

Guys, berries don't grow there.

This is absolutely crazy to me because, last time I checked, FF6 isn't five or six games. It's one game. And it does the story justice.

Sure, if we remade FF6 like they remade FF7, it'd be five or six games.

But we don't need to remake it like they remade FF7.
A Final Fantasy 6 remake is a difficult prospect because it would need four or five games to do the story justice, Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida says.

"I understand the feelings of the players, but you’ve got to think about it," he says.

And this right here is the (second) biggest concern I have for this. Sony in particular is KNOWN for widespread outages and data leaks. Their infrastructure is held together by good vibes and prayer. It was a matter of when, not if, they’d have an outage after their announcement.
Welcome to the “all digital gaming” world.

Digimon has never been in direct competition with Pokemon. The games are different (usually), the anime is different and the card games are nowhere near the same. They're competing in the same way every luxury wants you to spend what cash you have on them. But the rivalry was created by the fans.

A thing I'm seeing a lot in response to this PlayStation all digital thing is that PC hasn't had physical discs for a very very long time and this is just the console market catching up.

No. Not even close. Are you kidding me? There's only going to be one avenue for PS games. Just one.

I really enjoy KHBBS but it's a rough one for me to play. Really, outside of my initial run on it when it first came out on PSP, I've never been able to just play through all four stories (if you count the final and secret episodes to be a single story.)

The game is just so goddamned sad.

Xaldin in KH2 and Days has to be completely hated by upper management, right? Like, the dude is completely hyperfixated on a single person. And while Sora and the gang assume it's to take his heart to make both a powerful heartless and a powerful Nobody for their ranks, we don't get a confirmation.

Conservatives will look you in the eye saying "That social program will fail. Look at other countries that do this and their economy is a hell hole." and you go "But what about these Scandinavian countries that socialize these programs and are thriving?" and they go "You can't compare them to us!"
