Anyone else being bombarded by low-effort, AI slop, influencer ads on Instagram lately? The entire algorithm is on the fritz, as it suddenly pivoted to showing me stand-up comedy (actually nice), but the ads... Jeez. They got worse and more frequent, absolute enshitification.

Comparing the response to Oblivion Remake's janky physics and, admittedly, hilarious bugs vs AC: Shadows minimal flaws (e.g. some of the EN Voice Acting, expected open-world bugs, etc.), I am wholly convinced nostalgia plays a role in how gamers see things.

The Switch 2 lineup feels... Weak. Mario Kart World looks fantastic, don't get me wrong.
But the rest is upgraded Switch games for an additional fee if you own the originals?
I'll hold off on this one for now.

Having an absolute blast playing AC: Shadows. The loot gremlin in me is pleased.
I am 10 hours in and it doesn't feel bloated like Valhalla was at that point.
The only gripe I have is how Pathfinder works in this game: previously, you could auto travel on horse, now it just shows the best route.
