Electric trucks are not taking off: manufacturers fear multimillion-euro fines for failing to achieve decarbonization. The transition toward cleaner mobility in Europe risks advancing faster on paper than on the roads. The automotive components and suppliers industry is calling on European policymakers to change the approach: instead of imposing a particular technology on citizens, they should create conditions that allow them to choose it.
