Berlin voters will go to the polls on Sunday, with left and conservative parties nearly tied and polls showing the far-right AfD could roughly double its share to about 18%.
What a relief! No far-right government in the next four years in Sweden. The final vote counting will result in a 3 seat centre-left majority. Though much engagement will be neded to turn this into a real policy alternative, we can all take a deep breath today!

Admittedly where far right parties win (including the EURef) there seem to be lots of voters who have not voted before. This is also true where AfD win in Germany. People whose main opinion is racism now finding a political home😱

If (what you see as) "enlightened people" got their way in Germany, you wouldn't have AfD first in the polls and Merz as a chancellor, would you? This is the country we actually live in
