I just got a clearly LLM-generated email from someone purporting to be "Susan Orleans" (aka @susanorlean.bsky.social, who I think knows how to spell her own name) telling me how great my last book was. I am stumped by what the scam angle is here. There's no ask.

The idea of “networked privacy” gives the subject a much more complicated,and, frankly, more useful, shape.
