North Korea fired an unidentified projectile from its east coast into the Sea of Japan on Sunday, South Korea and Japan said, calling it a suspected short-range ballistic missile.

Today in 1980 at about 3:00 AM, the highly-volatile liquid fuel of a nuclear-armed Titan II ICBM exploded inside underground launch complex 374-7, 3.3 miles north-northeast of Damascus, Arkansas, and approximately 50 miles north of the capital of Little Rock, destroying the missile and silo.
