EU ambassadors agreed to lift sanctions on Russian billionaires Alisher Usmanov and Mikhail Fridman to secure renewal of wider Russia sanctions, a contentious rollback.

Looks like a deal on extension of many EU sanctions against Russians - a couple of names removed from the list, but three years until the next review (so a Le Pen government or whoever could not veto a further extension next September)
Sanctions update: a majority has accepted a compromise.

But the written procedure hasn't been launched yet. Consultations are still ongoing.

Everything must be ready to activate the EU Blocking Statute to shield the ICC from US sanctions targeting it as an institution. The European Commission and all EU member states that considered this measure premature or too radical must now realise that it can no longer be postponed.
Court-wide sanctions are expected to be announced by the Trump administration during or shortly after this week’s UNGA session. The measure will prohibit US companies from doing any business with the ICC following a grace period of six to seven months.

Russia is taking other measures to increase the protection of its oil refineries.
Last week Trump tried to pressure Zelenskyy and Ukraine to stop hitting russian refineries, but it didn’t work.
