4) Data center boosters use this industrial history as propaganda, claiming AI will make PA great again and bring stable jobs to the area. People are, rightly, skeptical. 5) People want a bright future for themselves and their families- but do not see AI/data centers as the way to achieve that

They find: 1) data center boosters position AI as inevitable. It's not and Pennsylvanians resist this framing. 2) Broad coalition of PA folks resist data centers for many reasons: energy, land, water, noise-but most of all, data centers are an Achilles heel where folks can counter Big Tech directly
