Countries around the world still have a chance to reach the goal of protecting 30 percent of the planet's habitats, both at sea and on land, by 2030, according to a new report. But there is a large gap between promises and what is protected in reality. 'Right now it may be more economically profitable to ignore the needs of species and nature,' says Maano Aunapuu, head of a unit at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency.
