Meteorological agencies in Ireland and Greece issued weather warnings for strong winds, heavy rain and thunderstorms across Leinster and Munster and in Evia and the Sporades.

A Status Orange rain warning is in place for counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford until 10am
Orange, Yellow warnings in effect as heavy rain forecast
A Status Orange rain warning is in effect for six counties while a Status Yellow rain warning is in place for 20 counties across the country.
