Iran suspected in Fairford plot

Prime Minister Andy Burnham said there were strong indications Iran was involved in a suspected plot at RAF Fairford, without detailing the basis for the assessment; Tehran denied involvement. Five people were arrested, but police found no explosives, and authorities said the suspicious vehicles carried fuel and downgraded the threat.

I don't believe a word of what #Burnham says about RAF #Fairford / #Iran. I believe this is a face saving gesture on a bungled police operation started by a crank caller. Of course I could be wrong. If there is evidence, let's see it. It smells of WMD and #Trump leaning on Britain to save face.
