U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth outlined plans to reshape the military around a warrior ethos in a State of the Force address, drawing criticism for personal attacks.
I’ve known many other defense secretaries, starting with Cap Weinberger, who served as defense secretary under Reagan.
I can say without fear of contradiction that Pete Hegseth is the stupidest and least qualified of them all.
He is a danger to the entire world.
He must be impeached.

Honestly, if Hesgeth wants to make his troops fighting angry he should just tell them what their mortgage payments are about to be.

Hegseth fired 10% of the generals and redirected to these guys.
Hegseth hosts his first Project Meridian meeting with Musk, Palmer Luckey and Newt Gingrich.
They’re looking at ways to use tech to boost Hegseth’s agenda, most likely using AI for surveillance and weapons.

I had missed this one. But it's a real, real problem. Hegseth is setting up the personnel of the military as in opposition to other elements of American society. It is shameful and dangerous (and also sorta just repeating lines from A Few Good Men).

It should alarm us that the civilian head of the military gathers together troops to give them a political speech in which he calls the free press treasonous.

Hegseth says “anti-American losers in our media” are committing “treason” by not obediently amplifying his Iran war lies. He hasn’t held a war briefing for reporters at the Pentagon since May. Which means he hasn’t justified his actions to the public, even though he’s conducting a war in our name.
