When Ukraine destroys Russian data centers, hoards of aggressive right-wing bots disappear & the internet becomes friendlier. So much of politics is driven by the internet & so much of the internet is driven by Russians who want to hurt us. Shouldn’t we do something about that, given that we know it

One of the biggest recipients of Russian troll farm support on the X platform says that the theories of Ukraine's strikes on Yandex facilities having reduced Russian troll activity are nonsense, as he gets 35 likes among his 4,000,000 followers.

We had this post on Instagram get flooded with suspected bots late last week…funny enough, engagement dropped to near silence for 48 hours after Ukraine bombed the data centers. Probably not a way to confirm anything, but it’s ramping back up again.

Remember, you may be arguing with a Russian bot.

1/ Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian data centres are having a severe impact due to the highly centralised nature of Russia's digital economy, in contrast to Ukraine's decentralised approach. Fears are growing that it could cause a banking crisis. ⬇️

Ukraine's new campaign of destroying Russia's data centers will prove devastating for Putin's economy and war machine if the White House is unable to prevent it.

The chaos we're already seeing across Russia is only four days into the campaign and 3 facilities targeted.

Zelensky:

"When our strikes reached Yandex’s data centers, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations... It’s pretty clear where those bots were coming from."
