What time is the Extraordinary Draw on October 12 for the National Lottery Hispanidad Day

Every October 12, Spain marks Día de la Hispanidad, a day that recalls shared historical, cultural and linguistic ties. But beyond the parades and official acts, the date has another appointment on the calendar that does not pass unnoticed by millions: the Extraordinary Draw for Hispanidad Day of the National Lottery. That combination of collective ritual and personal anticipation turns the afternoon of October 12 into a crossroad of emotions, where hope meets memory. The National Lottery has made this draw a popular tradition that blends the generosity of prizes with the festive character of Hispanidad Day. That's why it's common for family and friends to gather in front of the TV or with a phone in hand, hoping to check if the number bought has won. If this year you bought a décimo, or you simply want to experience the thrill, it's worth knowing two basic things: what time the broadcast will start and

Aemet warns of locally heavy showers in these areas for October 12

Spain woke up this Monday, October 12, with a holiday to enjoy and with the end of a three-day weekend for many Spaniards, even four days off in the Valencian Community where October 9 was a holiday. One of the main considerations for such events, like the National Day of Spain, is whether the weather will accompany the celebration, which many take the opportunity to take a trip, an excursion, or simply go out for a walk. In addition, the weather also influences how the military parade for the Day of the Hispanidad unfolds, which is celebrated in Madrid this Monday, October 12, with the presence of Their Majesties King Felipe and Queen Letizia, among other authorities of the country. Therefore, as indicated by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the weather will indeed allow the parade to go ahead.

Gabriel Rufián on the celebration of Hispanidad Day in Spain: 'Invasion, invasion, invasion'

The October 12 holiday, the Day of the National Fiesta of Spain, is celebrated in our country, according to the Defense Ministry's website, to commemorate 'the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus in 1492. The celebration was officialized in 1918 by King Alfonso XIII and originally honored Spain's worldwide influence.' This festival also includes the Day of the Virgin of Pilar, patroness of the city of Zaragoza, the autonomous community of Aragón, and bodies such as the Guardia Civil and Correos. Thus, October 12 is Spain's big day, also known as Hispanidad Day, where the past of those who fought to extend borders is remembered, but also where the confluence of cultures and the richness of the Hispanic world today is celebrated. In Madrid, as the capital of the country, the Hispanidad 2026 festival takes place, where, over several days with more than 150 activities, a homage is paid to the different Hispanic cultures, recognizing the...

More than 4,300 military personnel, 183 vehicles and 82 aircraft in the parade, but without Ceuta units

The center of Madrid will once again host this Monday the central ceremony for National Day with a parade of dazzling figures: more than 4,300 members of the Armed Forces and of the State Security Forces and Corps, 183 vehicles and 82 aircraft. The citizens will not be able to applaud the soldiers serving in Ceuta, since no unit from the autonomous city participates in this edition of the parade. The events will officially begin at eleven in the morning, when the King and Queen arrive at the presidential tribune, located in Neptune Square. Before them, representatives of the main powers of the State, authorities and government members will have taken their places. The latter led by Pedro Sánchez, who once again submits to the scrutiny of an audience traditionally critical of his administration. No more favorable prospects are expected for the head of the Government this October 12, which is held in a pre-electoral period with several political fronts over the
