13h

Austria plans new electricity-grid tariffs that would charge consumers more for peak-time power use and reward shifting consumption to ease pressure on the network.

Federal funding matters. Now to persuade people that the way you solve high gas prices is not be dependent on fossil fuel…
EV sales in the U.S. are down by half compared with last year. Meanwhile, charging companies in the U.S. are on track to install about as many public EV plugs this year as in 2025, the industry’s record high. www.wsj.com/business/aut...
America’s EV Downturn Hides a Silver Lining: Charging Is Quietly Getting Better
Public EV chargers continue to be installed at a steady clip, even as the industry faces a tough road to long-term profitability.

Trump is raising electricity costs by blocking low-cost clean energy, forcing grids to meet demand with high-cost fossil fuel units. Sucks for you; but Trump’s corrupt big fossil fuel donors make a bundle.

Electrification *is* defence.
This would be economically illiterate & environmentally disastrous - and makes us less secure: undermining efforts to reduce energy bills by reducing dependence on gas, increasing vulnerability to global dictators, driving climate emissions & knee capping a market that’s just beginning to take off
