my understanding is that there are no actual "Flock cameras" in NYC and that these are automatic license plate readers DOT uses to enforce congestion pricing and red light violations. when they zoom in on the map in the video they don't even show a camera located at BWay and Canal

Slightly off-topic, but relevant to pix of applauding ralliers: I’ve been to many Bway shows & concerts in my life. Earning a standing ovation used to take extraordinary effort on performer(s) resources. Now it seems that just coming on stage earns standing ovation. We need to push bar higher.

Basically had Halloween already (and lost the bway lottos) so did a p cool first 4dx movie with nightmare b4 Christmas bc it’s basically the same day the movie starts at🫣🎃fun chill day + will continue being so for tmrw OR SO HELP ME I WILL BE A NIGHTMARE !!

The whole astoria vs LIC thing in my neighborhood is bizarre and disorienting. I live on 21st near bway (astoria), but some would consider this bordering the old LIC definition which also stretches to include the industrial stuff west of 21 st (near costco).

I was a little troubled by the stunt casting of Rachel Zeigler (who's totally got BWay chops; but no connection to RENT); but lord does she have a voice.

Ha, that's insane. I knew foreign plays were common on Bway in the 20s, but didn't know that could be used as a ruse to get your own script produced!

Mary Zimmerman actually took her own stab at revising the book (more in line with Voltaire, presumably, but built around the score). Saw it at Shakespeare DC, but it never came to NY. I found it charming and intimate, but prob not enough pizzazz for Bway. Could work at Lincoln Center, maybe.
