## Diabetická Ketoacidóza (DKA) – Kedy a Prečo?
Diabetická ketoacidóza je vážny stav, ktorý sa najčastejšie vyskytuje u pacientov s diabetom 1. typu, ale môže sa objaviť aj pri diabete 2. typu. Vzniká vtedy, keď telo nemá dostatok inzulínu na využitie glukózy ako zdroja energie. To vedie k tomu, že telo začne spaľovať tuky a produkovať ketóny, ktoré sú kyselinami. Hromadenie týchto kyselín spôsobuje acidózu – pokles pH krvi.
