Thank you mate. hard to say... electron: lots of fun with the gfx modes, mode2 especially bc of the challenge, it is quite heavy ram/cpu wise, oric= the crazy serial attributes are a unique feature. the 6809 cpu of the thomson machines, the c64 with it's amazing vicii and sid chips etc

It's a standard slave drive: The Oric 1 and Atmos don't have a controller board, the the standard setup contains a master drive that contains a disk drive plus a controller board, and you can add up to three slaves.
If you plug a master on the Telestrat -> Kaboom! 💥

I get the feeling it might have something to do with the weird way Oric attributes work. Can't swear on that cause I barely used one a long time ago, never mind programmed one, it just feels like it might be trying to avoid a particular Oric colour clash issue. Either that or it's for speed.

But there are two massive issues: The loading times are very bad, and the Spectrum is vertically challenged (192 vs 224 on the Oric) which results in 4 lines of text missing... and that's something a coding assistant is not going to solve for you.⤵️
