Defensives won a third straight week. Staples, health care and utilities rose 1.4% vs -0.2% for the S&P; over three weeks it’s +7.9% vs -1.1%. Tech was on the other side: chips trailed by 2.2%, and chips and both Nasdaq funds slid to lagging.

So how am I thinking about it? With the VIX at 20, I’d rather look for places to buy than sell, but carefully, at the safest entries I can find. Not the time to get aggressive. I may take a day off the screen so I’m not shaken out of key AI and Nasdaq holdings.
